These include eight years of professional education pursuing an optometry career, years of Navy service, both active and reserve, many hours of community service and volunteer work using his optometric skills.He received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1989 then went onto achieve a doctor of optometry degree in 1993 from the Southern California College of Optometry.After his formal education, Dr. Garcia served on active duty as the Department Head for the Lemoore Naval Hospital's Eye Clinic. He continues to hold a commission as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Dr. Garcia is also very active in his community where he has served as President of the Lions Club and currently serves as President of the Lemoore District Chamber of Commerce. He is also very involved with the Lion's Sight Conservation program and provides free eye care services to thousands each year. His volunteer efforts through Lions and other organizations extend to Mexico and Central America. Dr. Garcia cares for a wide variety of patients and vision problems. His years spent working with patients from around the world gave him an excellent pool of knowledge and experience. Dr. Garcia is well trained to deal with patient from infants to the elderly with a wide range of health and vision conditions.

Angela is the Office Manager and veteran employee of Family Eye Care Optometry. She has been associated with th e practice for over eight years now. Her job includes insuring the practice runs smoothly for the staff and patients, getting the most for you from your insurance, HMOs or other third party providers, and maintains a wide variety of designer frames for your selection.
Mickey Cardoso has been working in the optical field for over 12 years. She brought her years of experience to Family Eye Care in the spring of 2002. Mickey is our veteran Optician. If you need help in se lecting just the right frame, Mickey’s years of experience in the fashion optical industry will assist you in getting just the look you want. If you are a first time contact lens wearer, Mickey will patiently guide you through the contact lens training process, to insure your contact lens wearing success.
Cristina Tafolla came to our office while she was a Junior at Lemoore High School in the Fall of 2001. She has since become our lead Optometric Technician. Cristina is experienced in providing all of the pre-testing and glaucoma screening that you will receive when you come in for an examination. Cristina is also very experienced and can assist you in selecting all of your eyewear needs, including contact lenses.
